UNI SYSTEMS: New funding and business activity expansion for Pleiades IoT Innovation Cluster
• The Cluster received approval for the 2nd Phase of Funding by the Secretariat General for Research and Development.
• It has been converted into a Non-Profit Company.
Pleiades IoT Innovation Cluster, with Uni Systems as its funding member, announces the approval of its application for the 2nd Phase of Funding by the Secretariat General for Research and Development (GSRI) and, at the same time, its conversion to a Non-Profit Company.
Following the evaluation process of the filled applications of GSRI’s call “Innovation Clusters/SSK 2nd Call: Enterprises”, the Cluster managed to secure €2.500.000 at a valuation of €3.000.000, aiming at further enhancing its members and their collaborative targets. The members of Pleiades IoT Innovation Cluster include C2h Environmental Engineering, Calpak, Dotsoft, Athens Medical Group, Meteo, Mobics, Mobito, NousPratIT, Novelcore, Optechain, Peripatos, Prisma Electronics, PROBOTEK, SigFox, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics of the University of Patras, Yodiwo, Zarifopoulos S.A., Uni Systems and Ubitech as a funding member and coordinator, respectively.
At the same time, the Cluster’s nine working groups that establish a framework for the development of innovative solutions through an integrated platform and a range of technologies, applications and data on the one hand, and the maturity attained on the other, have marked a successful two-year trajectory that has led to its conversion into a Non-Profit Company. Pleiades IoT Innovation Cluster moves forward, recognized and established in Greece and abroad and resuming its new role as a FIWARE Digital Innovation Hub, with its main aim of having all the relevant actions completed by the end of the current year.
It is worth mentioning that the nine working groups cover the areas of Smart eHealth, Smart Environmental Monitoring, Phygital Retail Interoperability Standardization, Green and Smart Museum, Smart facilities Management, Drone Inspections, Next Generation Solar Heaters and Data Marketplaces for IoT, operating under the integrated Horizontal IoT Platform.
The new role of Pleiades IoT Innovation Cluster will underline the extroversion of its activities, increase funding opportunities and broaden the member base, while at the same time facilitating the integration with the wider innovation ecosystem.
