SEV Hellenic Federation of Enterprises’ Industrial Conference | 9 October 2023 | Megaron, the Athens Concert Hall

At a time of significant flux and concurrent challenges, important questions are raised for the future of industry. From the energy crisis and the green transition to fight climate change, to technological transformation, human capital, productive ecosystems and redefining work, the challenges are complex and the need to conceive a strategy, at the European and national levels, to address them is pressing.

SEV’s industrial conference will aim to highlight the challenges and prospects for the present and future of industry, and especially for its ability to consistently widen its economic and social footprint. Conference participants will include senior representatives from industry, the European Union and the OECD, while political fireside chats will address the political perspectives.

The conference’s panels and fireside chats will address:

  • Redefining European priorities towards strategic autonomy and the EU’s and Greece’s standing with regard to global investment and industrial competitiveness.
  • A vision for Industry 2030.
  • The challenge of systematically strengthening domestic production, and the creation of production networks in sectors related to Europe’s efforts towards strategic autonomy.
  • The increasing importance of human capital and the need for constantly evolving skills that will enhance human creativity in the modern workplace.
  • ESG criteria as not only topical, but fundamental pillars of modern industry.
  • The challenges of accelerating the energy transition without compromising competitiveness.
