SEV and BusinessEurope call for immediate measures to strengthen European competitiveness

Joint letter by the Chairman of SEV, Spyros Theodoropoulos, and the President of BusinessEurope, Fredrik Persson, to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis

Ahead of the informal meeting of the EU leaders on 12 February in Alden Biesen, focused on strengthening the EU’s competitiveness, Europe’s employers’ organisations, through BusinessEurope, are joining forces to call for immediate and substantive policy action. SEV actively contributed to shaping this common European position, bringing to the European level the priorities and challenges faced by Greek businesses.

In this context, the President of BusinessEurope, Mr Fredrik Persson, together with the leaders of Europe’s employers’ organisations, signed joint letters addressed to the Prime Ministers of the EU Member States, ahead of the informal retreat of European leaders. The Chairman of SEV’s Board of Directors, Mr Spyros Theodoropoulos, co-signed the letter to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, highlighting the key priorities of the business community.
